This Review of the Literature was completed as the capstone assignment for ED 500, Educational Research. The professor describes the purpose of the course as "to introduce professional educators to basic research concepts and skills necessary to make informed judgments about the utility and validity of educational research. In other words, to prepare students to be critical consumers of research." This assignment demonstrates an ability to engage in the process of reading, interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, summarizing, and presenting research results in a professionally written, APA-formatted graduate-level literature review, and an understanding of the steps involved in research design.
